Guidelines

IFED GUIDELINES FOR FORMING AN ACADEMY OF ESTHETIC DENTISTRY

The Academy must be national or continental in scope.
The Academy must be democratically organized and governed by a written constitution and bylaws.
The Academy must be non-profit.
– Although there must be a treasury of funds for operating expenses, the purpose of the academy should not be for financial gain.
– No member of the academy should make a direct profit from monies collected by or given to the organization.
– Under no circumstances should there be any type of product or corporate endorsement by the academy or members representing the academy.
– Separate donations may be solicited for selected approved programs of the academy, such as health, treatment of indigent patients, research, etc.

The Academy must adhere to the highest ethical and scientific standards as demonstrated by at least three years of meetings.
